Consumer spending for online content in the U.S. grew 18.8 percent to nearly $1.6 billion last year over 2002, according to a study released last week. The Online Publishers Association and comScore Networks said three categories accounted for 64 percent of total spending: personals/dating, business/ investment and entertainment/lifestyles.
