LOS ANGELES–Roster shops have received RFPs for Novartis AG’s $250 million global pharmaceutical products media consolidation review. The formal launch of the review had been expected this month [Adweek, July 9].

The RFP sets out a three-phase search that includes a project assignment and sets a September decision date, according to sources. Participating in the revivew are Novartis’ U.S. media shops MindShare and Optimedia, all New York, and Initiative Media North America in L.A. In addition, Creative Media in New York, whose sister network OMD handles some Novartis business overseas, and CIA, also a Novartis agency abroad, may be involved as well, sources said.
