NEW YORK NBC pulled its branded promotional channel from YouTube during the weekend in advance of the launch of Hulu, its joint online video venture with News Corp.

An NBC representative confirmed that promotional content supplied by the network would no longer be seen on Google’s video site. She said that the move was “not antagonistic,” but was made to support Hulu, set to debut in beta by month’s end.

NBC launched its official YouTube channel in June 2006.
