Mullen Taps Exec to Guide Innovation

BOSTON Mullen said it has elevated John Moore to the new position of director of ideas and innovation. He is tasked with working across agency disciplines to help guide client strategies and program development.

Moore, who has been with Mullen for nine years, was most recently svp, group media director in the agency’s mediaHub division. In that capacity, he worked on key accounts such as H&R Block, Match.com, Stanley Tools and XM Satellite Radio.

“In the new media environment, where the consumer is gaining increasing power, the best and most effective ideas emanate from cross-disciplinary interaction,” said Moore.

He is well versed in designing programs that use traditional channels (mainly TV) to promote more cutting-edge media (notably XM).

Most recently, Moore is credited with developing XM’s commercial-free, multi-platform sponsorship of the FX series Nip/Tuck, as well as brand tie-ins with Cold Case, Dancing With the Stars and Las Vegas.

Interpublic Group owns Wenham, Mass.-based Mullen.
