NEW YORK MSN has inked agreements with Blockbuster, CinemaNow and MovieTickets.com that will let people rent DVDs, download movies and buy tickets on the Microsoft-owned online property.
The deals are meant to bolster the Redmond, Wash.-based company’s entertainment offering, which includes its movie site (movies.msn.com), as broadband usage becomes widespread.
Through its relationship with Blockbuster, MSN visitors can request three DVD rentals by mail for $19.99 a month. The monthly fee rises if members choose to rent more than three at a time.
