Patrice Tanaka & Co., Dallas, advanced Kathy Owens to senior account executive and hired assistant account executive Meredith Magers. Owens has served clients such as Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and Seiko as well as tourism accounts for Cancun, Mexico and the Cayman Islands. Magers will join Owens on the Cayman and Seiko business.
Rives Carlberg, Houston, enlisted account supervisor John Arcidiacono, art director Kim Adams, production design artist Nancy Michon, traffic production administrator Nicole Coffman, proofreader Victoria Bartlett and public relations coordinator Mechelle Watkins. Keith Hobbs joined Michael A. Burns & Associates in Dallas as assistant account executive after working as an editor and creative director of a Dallas weekly community newspaper.
Dallas-based Fina hired Carla Holmes as general manager of corporate communications and public affairs. Previously, Holmes served as vice president of Fleishman-Hillard International Communications and public relations manager at Southwestern Bell Telephone, both in St. Louis.
SicolaMartin, Austin, promoted art director Mike Kastens to senior designer on its Citrix business; assistant art director Jennifer Taylor to art director for the IBM and Motorola Computer Group accounts; and account managers Kathryn Stevens and Jennifer White to senior account managers. Stevens will work on the IBM business, while White will handle Motorola and DuPont Photomasks.
Gloria Espinosa joined the staff of Laster & Miller Advertising, El Paso, as senior art director.
Awalt Group, Houston, named Shannon Blanton vice president. She previously worked for the commercial and industrial division of The Woodlands Corp.

Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, Little Rock, promoted Kelley Nichols to account supervisor and Ren Klein to director of strategic marketing. Nichols joined CJRW in 1990, while Klein has been with the agency since 1994 as account supervisor of the shop’s telecommunications business. Richard McKeown was named vice president of professional development after serving as vice president and associate director of public relations.
Deborah Brockman Beard was tapped as director of public relations and Michael Farris senior art director at Martin & Martin, Little Rock. Beard moves up after arriving at Martin in January 1997 from Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, also Little Rock. Farris returns to Little Rock after serving as art director at Dallas agency Reed Boyer.

Greg Henderson is a new vice president at Strascina & Partners, Albuquerque. He arrived at the agency last February from a major in-state restaurant corporation.
