Jerry Selick was promoted to chief financial officer for Burson-Marsteller U.S. He joined the New York-based com pany in 1996 as business manager of its media practice.

Nancy LaPerla was elevated to senior vice president of adver tising and sponsorship sales for AMC Net works. She most recently served as vice president of adver tising and sponsorship sales for AMC. Rainbow Media Holdings, which has offices in Jericho and Bethpage, manages AMC.

Unstrung in New York hired Tom Govedarica as director of sales. He previously worked as director of sales at Crain Communications for media properties such as RCR Wireless News, Global Wireless and rcrnews.com.

Eric Mower and Associates promoted Carla Mancuso to public relations senior account executive. She joined the shop in June 2000 as a public relations account executive. Mancuso is based in the agency’s Rochester office.


Sue Furlong, who in March rose to president of DVC Group and became a member of DVC Worldwide’s operating board, was named to the additional post of chief operating officer of DVC Group, a newly created position. The company is based in Morristown.

Brushfire hired five new staffers. Debra McCleary was appointed controller; prior to joining the Whippany-based agency, she worked at O’Leary, Clarke & Partners in New York. Eileen Brangan was named an account supervisor in the public relations department; she formerly served as man ager of public relations and corporate communications at Pepperidge Farm. David Connelly joined as a studio artist in the creative department; he most recently worked at Spectrum Press in Roseland. Michele DiGiosaffatte was hired as an assistant account executive in the public relations department; she was previously an advertising sales assistant at CMP Media in New York. Lydia Coriano was appointed an admin istrative assistant, working with both the public relations and account service staffs; she most recently served as a legal secretary at Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker in Newark.

Gillespie in Princeton hired Anthony Riggio as group vice president at the business-to-business group of its public relations division. He previously worked as vice president in the business-to-business and marketing group at Edelman Public Relations in New York.


Bev Fazio was named vice president of finance at MARC USA/Pittsburgh. She most recently was senior manager of financial planning at the H.J. Heinz Co. in Pittsburgh.

RealTime Media in Wynne wood hired two executives. Glenn Goldberg was appointed senior vice president of sales and marketing; he formerly worked as chief marketing officer at Planet Exchange. Karen Dicks was named chief technology officer; Dicks is a co-founder of Advocate Consulting Services, a Philadelphia-area firm that spec ializes in management con sult ing and systems integration, among other services.

The Brownstein Group in Philadelphia hired two new staffers. Nikolaos Birbilis was named an art director; he is a recent graduate of the Portfolio Center in Atlanta. Amy Roy joined as a copywriter; she most recently interned in New York with Ogilvy & Mather.

Stiegler, Wells, Brunswick & Roth promoted two staffers. David Miller rose to art director; he joined the Bethlehem-based agency in 1998 as associate art director. Deb Reichl was elevated to traffic coordinator; she previously served as assistant traffic coordinator.
