London-based Cordiant Communications Group has named Claude Singer chief marketing officer at CCG.XM in New York. He had previously worked as senior vice president and director of marketing, North America, at Siegelgale, New York.
Claire Tondreau, formerly executive vice president and managing director at Lowe Lintas & Partners in New York, has founded HotSpring, a newly created growth consultancy that focuses on brand development. She takes the title of marketing chief at HotSpring, which is based in New York.
Publicis Dialog has promoted Richard George to principal and director of business operations for Publicis Dialog in the United States. Most recently, he was principal and management supervisor at the Publicis Dialog New York office.
TSR Advertising has named Steve Stetzer senior principal, group account director, responsible for the strategic direction and daily account supervision of TSR accounts including Casio, 3DO and Hasbro. Prior to joining the New York agency, he had worked as an account director at Merkley Newman Harty in New York.
Harrison Leifer Miller & Speyer in Rockville Centre has named Steve Feldman vice president of strategic planning. Feldman previously served as executive vice president for RLA Creative, an advertising agency in New Jersey.
Wolf Group Buffalo has hired five new employees. Rob Wynne has been named vice president, associate creative director; prior to joining the Buffalo shop, he was an executive art director/creative supervisor at Crowley Webb & Associates, also in Buffalo. Effie Houssakos was appointed senior account executive at the agency’s interactive unit, iWolf, where she will work on the Manco account, among others; she was most recently a senior account executive at Crowley Webb. Karen McGowan was hired as an account executive in the sales promotion division; she was formerly an assistant account executive at Crowley Webb.
Megan Pierce has arrived as an account coordinator, working on accounts such as HSBC and National Fuel. Peter Ahl was hired as a studio graphic artist; most recently, he was with Degulio & Krypel Advertising, Buffalo.
Horah Direct in New York has hired Glenn Lurie as director, business development. Lurie has more than 25 years of advertising and direct-response experience, with a particular strength in the retail-marketing industry.
Parade Publications has named Kristin Dakis San Francisco advertising sales manager. Before joining the New York-based publishing house, she served as the San Francisco sales manager for USA Weekend.
JSM has appointed Stu Kuby director of production, replacing Rich Aronstein, who has left the New York company to pursue other interests. Kuby had previously worked as executive director of Blue Cliff Records in New York.
Toolbox in New York has named Cristina Merrill managing partner of the company’s newly created communications division, Toolbox Strategic Communications. In addition, Toolbox has hired Karen Kingsley as director of client services; she previously worked at Fairchild Publications as director of conferences and custom marketing for magazines such as Women’s Wear Daily and Supermarket News.

CNBC.com in Fort Lee has appointed Kathleen Carroll chief marketing officer. Most recently, Carroll was vice president, marketing and sales at Chicago-based Scotty’s Home Market, now Streamline.com.

Wahlstrom & Co. has appointed Jennifer Danzi manager, interactive services. Before arriving at the Stamford-based agency, she had worked at KSL Media on various marketing and promotional campaigns for dot-com clients such as iSyndicate.com and LivePerson.com.
Rx Remedy, a provider of online Health-Life services and information that is based in Westport, named James Docherty senior vice president, general manager Internet sales. He had previously served as president of Hachette Filipacchi New Media in New York.

Earle Palmer Brown, located in Philadelphia, has appointed Jennifer Pietrowski an assistant account executive in the account service department, working on accounts such as DuPont and Sanchez Computer Associates. Most recently, Pietrowski had worked in account service for Neff & Associates.
MayoSeitz Media has hired Debbie Caplan as a senior planner/buyer, working on various accounts. Prior to arriving at the Blue Bell-based agency, she oversaw the buying team at Market Place Print in Pittsburgh.
