NEW YORK
Peter Bevacqua was appointed senior vice president, creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi, New York. He has worked at the agency for 17 years and was most recently a vice president, creative director working at the Healthcare Connection, a division responsible for the shop’s Johnson & Johnson business.
D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, New York, promoted several staffers: Richard Sharp was elevated to vice president, associate creative director from art director; Leslie Long was promoted to vice president, associate creative director from senior copywriter; Susan Lipshutz moved up to vice president, associate creative director from senior art director; Phil Brandon was raised to senior vice president, creative director from vice president, creative director; Gro Frivoll advanced to vice president, associate creative director from associate creative director; and Richard DelVecchio was promoted to vice president, manager of print/traffic services from manager of print/traffic services.
Lowe & Partners Worldwide, based in New York, named Ronald Yue to the new position of president, Asia-Pacific. He returns to the advertising business after eight years as managing director of the HKT Group in Hong Kong, where Yue will be based.
Richard Skiermont was named associate creative director at Eric Mower and Associates, Albany. He will continue to manage the creative services department and will be responsible for agency self-promotional materials. He joined the shop in 1996 as creative supervisor.
Wolf Direct, Buffalo, promoted Elizabeth Emmerick to senior account executive. She joined the Wolf Group unit in 1997 as an account executive.
FCB HealthCare, New York, promoted several staff members: Christine Edwards was elevated to vice president, account supervisor; Catherine Fuss to assistant account executive; Amy Houston to vice president, senior producer; Jeremy Lichtenberger to traffic manager; Michael McDermott to senior traffic manager; Laura McElroy to senior vice president, director of hospital services; Renee Mellas to vice president, account group supervisor; Lois Moran to senior vice president, management supervisor; Rachel Stern to account coordinator; and Josleen Wildon to associate creative director. The shop has also elected six senior vice presidents: creative directors Susan Crane, John Kopilak and Lucille Guardala and management directors Jim Lurie, Patricia Prugno and Jack George.
New York-based Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide has added several staffers to its health and medical practice: Beth Kramli, who served as a director at BSMG World-wide, has been tapped as a vice president and will handle the account of Merck’s Propecia; Jane Cantor, a recent graduate of Columbia University’s School of Public Health, will serve as a junior executive on the Propecia business; and Christine O’Neill will be a junior executive handling the Wyeth-Ayerst organ rejection drug Rapamune.
NEW JERSEY
The Cherenson Group, Livingston, added Allegra Bowell Fox as an account executive. She will supervise accounts including the Hard Rock Cafƒ, Trump Taj Mahal Casino Hotel and Mortgage Finder. She has worked as an account executive at Pace Advertising, Boxcar Communications and Nappi Eliran Murphy.
PENNSYLVANIA
Anderson Advertising, Sinking Spring, has added four new staffers: Susan Blakely joined the agency as executive art director; Kathy Peek was named administrative assistant; Connie Schallau was appointed creative director, copy; and Jeff Stockwell joined the firm as a senior art director and computer systems administrator.
Criterion Communications, a multimedia company based in King of Prussia, has promoted John Leh to director of interactive technologies. He was an instructional designer.
