- TEXAS Paul Womack has been named marketing manager for the Houston division of national homebuilder Ryland. Prior to joining Ryland, Womack was a founding partner of The eM Group, a full-service ad agency. Montemayor y Asociados Advertising has appointed Veronica Servantes promotions coordinator. Servantes was previously with Corbin and Co. Laura Veronica Cardenas has joined the San Antonio agency as account executive for Mary Kay Cosmetics from BM&A Communications. John Viriyapunt, previously senior graphic designer with DiBaggio Design, was named art director. Jennifer Brona, formerly with Levenson & Hill, has come aboard as media planner. J. Antonio Canales has been hired as account executive. He was previously national sales and marketing director for Grupo Vero. Georgina Christie has been named public relations coordinator for all accounts. Christie was formerly a traffic assistant at KVDA Telemundo Channel 60. Adriana Vela, formerly employed in the marketing department of San Antonio Federal Credit Union, has arrived as an account executive handling special projects and new business development. Tony Aldana was appointed account supervisor for Taco Cabana and Circle K. Aldana is the former director of global marketing at Jose Cuervo International. Nanette Montana, formerly with Bromley, Aguilar + Associates, was named traffic manager for all key accounts. Eisenberg and Associates, Dallas, has welcomed new traffic manager Aine Miller, formerly with Griffith Phillips Creative, and director of account services Robert Huckels, previously with SL&A Graphics in Hong Kong. Alf Laukoter has been recruited by Regian & Wilson/Grey Advertising, Fort Worth, as senior copywriter. Prior to joining the agency, Laukoter was a senior writer at Epsilon Advertising. Gary Hawthorne, also formerly with Epsilon, has been hired as associate creative director of art. Malinda Greene has joined the agency as a designer and production artist. Saunders-Ream Marketing Communications Group, Dallas, has added four new staff members: assistant production manager Stephanie Lee, formerly with TBWA/Chiat/Day, Los Angeles; traffic manager Andrea Bohnen from Evans Group; proofreader Melody Whitney from TLP; and accounting coordinator Denise Hallum. Former intern Shelly Leclaire is the new account coordinator in the agency's healthcare division. SicolaMartin has recruited Dave Kamp as director of public relations. Other new hires at the Austin-based agency include Meredith Roach, senior account manager; Kathleen Higgins and Julie Burrow, account managers; Rene Craft, account supervisor; and Rachel Cates and Inbal Gedalia, account coordinators. Liz Bullington has been promoted to account director for Aptis Software and 3M. Jeff Myer has been moved to account supervisor for Novell Inc. Cathy Olson has progressed to account director for Compaq and Shops.com, and Amy Wagner has been advanced to assistant account manager for Citrix Systems. The Olson Group, Austin, has named John Barousse senior art director. Kelly Gravis has joined the staff as account coordinator. GSD&M, Austin, has added Barbara Sertell as senior media buyer for Southwestern Bell Communications. Sertell previously was with Zenith Media in Chicago. Michelle Kinner has come aboard as media planner on the Lennox account, arriving from Leo Burnett in Chicago. Joel Greenberg has joined the agency as interactive account supervisor. He has spent the last two-and-a-half years at Human Code as executive producer of the business solutions group. Jennifer Stilley has become project director in the agency's M Group. Matt Davis has been advanced to senior art director. Andrie Cantu and Rob Young were both elevated to positions of associate media directors. Elyse Clark, Jennifer Brooks, Mandy Bogan and Sheri Yonker were all promoted to broadcast buying directors. - OKLAHOMA Chad Engler has joined Communicating Arts, Tulsa, as vice president and partner. Engler was formerly president of Visual In-Seitz, a business presentation company, and is a founding board member of the International Association of Presentation Professionals. Third Degree Advertising and Communications, Oklahoma City, has designated Kevin Blankenship associate creative director, a newly established position at the agency. Blankenship is a former copywriter and designer at Visual Image. Stacy Connor has joined the company as media coordinator. Previously, Connor was employed at USA Screen Printing & Embroidery. Third Degree Advertising and Communications also has appointed Tara Street senior art director. Tulsa-based Littlefield Inc. recently recruited William Wertz, former head of corporate communications at Phillips Petroleum Co., as vice president and director of public relations.
