SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Susan Collister, formerly an account executive at Asher & Partners in Los Angeles, joined Kowloon Wholesale Seafood Co. in Santa Monica, Calif., which works on Jack-in-the-Box ads. The Townsend Agency in San Diego promoted Cynthia Guiang to executive vice president. In her new role, Guiang will oversee the agency's operations, including financial and human resources management. She was previously vice president of administration. RiechesBaird Advertising in Huntington Beach added Janell Carlson to its account service team. Carlson, who will be responsible for account coordination, previously worked at Wunderman Cato Johnson in Irvine as an account service manager. The Los Angeles office of KSL Media promoted Cindy Borges to senior vice president/management supervisor, from vice president/media director; and Fran McCreary to vice president/associate media director, from associate media director. The media buying firm also hired Patrice Danielsen as office manager. Koppes & Partners in Irvine added four new staff members: Richard Theis, vice president/account director; David Hack, vice president/creative director; Kristen Pantelis, account executive; and Dale Cavazos, account coordinator. NBC Enterprises in Burbank appointed David Eun to head a new unit, Strategic Ventures Group, which handles ancillary marketing for NBC Studios and Enterprises. Jill Farwell, managing director of Manning, Selvage & Lee in Los Angeles, has also been named managing director of global consumer marketing. She continues to report to chairman and chief executive Lou Capozzi. Dark Light Pictures in Los Angeles has added commercial director Georgia Tanner to its employee roster. UTAH Penna Powers Cutting & Haynes in Salt Lake City added Christopher Kunstadt, Mike Holyoak and Troy Jones to its creative department. WASHINGTON Art director Greg McMurchie and production manager Chris Mullins recently joined Seattle agency MWW/Savitt's creative services division. David Ayriss, previously creative director at Matthaeus Halverson Ayriss, has left the Seattle agency to form a creative task force. He is working both freelance and for other agencies.
