Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG, New York, hired Lance Paull and Adam Hunt as senior art directors. Paull comes from Arnold Communications in Boston, where he worked on the Volkswagen Beetle relaunch; Hunt worked on Delta Air Lines and Tide for Saatchi & Saatchi, New York. MVBMS also hired Marc Lodovico, formerly vice president of Arnie Sawyer Studios in New York, as an account executive on the Miramax business.
Barbara Laughton was named director of corporate communications and promotions at Jay Advertising in Rochester. She was manager of the Los Angeles office. Vicki Lewis was also appointed director of new business development at Jay. Lewis had been account director on the Eastman Kodak Co. business at Saatchi & Saatchi.

Essence magazine, New York, has named Candice Jacko Eastern advertising sales manager. She was senior account executive for the beauty, fashion and toiletries category at the magazine.
Estƒe Pouleris has been promoted to production manager at Platinum Design in New York. She was studio manager.

The Star Group, Cherry Hill, has tapped Lynn Hoban as a vice president, management supervisor. Hoban comes from Earle Palmer Brown in Philadelphia, where she managed accounts for clients such as The Philadelphia Inquirer, Roy Rogers restaurants, and Domino’s Pizza.
Linett & Harrison in Millburn hired Joanna Mendizabal as account executive. Previously, she was at Mars Advertising in Southfield, Mich., and J. Walter Thompson in New York. George Chamak was also hired as production graphic artist. In his most recent position, Chamak produced materials for a non-profit educational organization.

Jeanne Ledes was elevated from traffic manager to traffic supervisor.
