CONNECTICUT Goodwick Associates in Newtown has hired Catherine Lombard as account manager on TUV Rheinland of North America. Lombard most recently worked as a consultant for Liazon Marketing & Promotion Mechanics in Newtown and has served as an account manager for the Marketing Corp. of America, Westport. Mason & Madison in New Haven has appointed Sarah Swift account executive for public relations. She will oversee Scandinavian Airlines, Arch Chemicals and Middlesex Mutual Assurance. Swift had most recently been with McKay Communications in Boston and has worked as a public relations specialist for the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, R.I. Mason & Madison has also named Matthew McGinn and Kristin Bromley account coordinators for public relations. McGinn will work on Stevens Roofing Systems, Middlesex Mutual and Scandinavian Airlines. Bromley will support accounts including Bell Atlantic Mobile, Hitchcock Fine Home Furnishings and Arch Chemicals. O'Neal & Prelle in Hartford has added Darlene Riley as production manager. She had worked with BrannBlau in Wilton. PDS Worldwide in Farmington has named Joe Bongiovanni national accounts director. MAINE Walter Gill has joined Broadcast Marketing Services in Portland as executive vice president of strategic planning. He had been with Henry Gill Advertising in Denver. In his new post, Gill will mainly work on new business acquisition. Garrand and Co. in Lewiston has tapped Mardie Womeldorf as media coordinator, responsible for managing local print and broadcast buys. She most recently served as national sales coordinator and executive assistant at Portland Radio. Darren Worcester has joined McCabe and Duval, Portland, as a copywriter. He recently graduated from the University of Maine. MASSACHUSETTS Robert Glover, account planning director at BBK Communications, Newton, has been named to the board of trustees of Family Services of Greater Boston. The nonprofit organization, dedicated to helping families and individuals build healthier lives, serves more than 10,000 children, adults and elders. Cone, Boston, has named Linda Berlinghoff executive vice president of its consumer group, which manages the Betty Crocker, Gillette, Dunkin' Donuts and New Organics accounts. Berlinghoff worked at Cone as a vice president from 1985 to 1988 and again from 1989 to 1994. In her previous tenure at Cone, she played key roles in servicing American Tourister, 3M, FTD, Bausch & Lomb and Rockport. Most recently, she was marketing director of Trident Health System, Charleston, S.C. In addition, Cone has advanced Dawn McLean to vice president, media services. The Weber Group in Cambridge has promoted Jennifer Signorini and Jennifer Dunlap to account supervisors from senior account executives. Signorini works on the Lexmark and Bell Atlantic accounts. Dunlap works on Lexmark and Citrix. Jane Dolan and Scott Malinowsky have been upped to account executives. Dolan works on new business development. Malinowsky handles Sybase and Ultimate Software. Pan Communications in Andover has promoted Mark Nardone to vice president, Christina Pandapas to senior account manager, Christina Goodwin to senior associate and Andrew Schreiner to associate. RHODE ISLAND Ruth Davis has been hired by RDW Group in Providence as senior account executive and director of special events. In her new position, she will work with clients including the New England Coffee Co., Providence Place and the R.I. Convention Center Authority. Prior to joining the agency, she had been vice president and partner at the Providence Food Group, a public relations and marketing firm specializing in the culinary industry. She has handled special events for Davio's Restaurant, the Eastside Marketplace, Bluefin Grille, Wedding Style magazine, Provencal Bakery and Pumpkinfire/Providence. Duffy & Shanley in Providence has promoted Elena Falcone to senior account executive. The agency also has hired Lucie Coughlin as account supervisor for public relations and Jae Krafft as development and production manager for the shop's interactive unit. Krafft, who had been a marketing specialist with Arch Chemicals in North Kingston, will oversee Web sites for clients such as the R.I. Economic Development Corp. and Fleet Equity Partners. VERMONT Trisha Watson has joined Paul Kaza Associates in South Burlington as a designer. She will be responsible for all phases of Web site development for various clients.
