Martino & Binzer, Avon, hired Mark O’Brien as director of public relations. O’Brien previously owned and op-erated O’Brien Communications Con-sulting and worked with clients such as CIGNA Healthcare and Fleet Capital Corporation.

Lang/Durham & Co., West Hart-ford, hired Robert Wolfson as an account supervisor working on the Resorts Atlantic City and United Illuminating accounts and hired Teresa Curley as production manager. Wolfson and Curley were previously employed at O’Neal & Prelle. The agency also hired Christopher Biggs as an account executive. He will work on the United Illuminating account and new business efforts. Biggs was recently with O’Neal & Prelle, where he worked on accounts such as the State of Connecticut Office of Tourism, Central Connecticut State University and The Bushnell.

Cronin & Company, Glastonbury, hired Brian Cosker, formerly with O’Neal & Prelle, as a graphic production artist; Kristen Ehrlich, formerly with KGA Advertising, as a senior copywriter; former Pharmedica Communications editor Kelly Lynn Dudek as a junior copywriter; former O’Neal & Prelle public relations account executive Lisa Miceli Feliciano as a public relations senior account executive; Jennifer Grady, formerly with O’Neal & Prelle, as an account executive; art director Eric Panke, formerly with Mintz & Hoke; senior copywriter Jill Scherrer, formerly with Princeton Partners; and administrative assistant Winnie Scalora. Keiler & Company, Farmington, added Matthew Hallock as associate creative director, with responsibility for all creative aspects for clients including Deloitte & Touche and GeneralCologne Re. Hallock was previously a vice president/senior copywriter with Ryan Drossman in New York, where he worked on Bear Stearns & Co.

Modem Media, Norwalk, appointed Melissa Viglielmo vice president of corporate marketing and strategy. She will be responsible for overseeing all marketing communications for the company and will be an executive committee member responsible for driving the integration of the strategic planning discipline throughout the organization. Viglielmo was recently general manager of global specialty-chemical business with CK Witco Corp.

Martino & Binzer, Avon, hired Phia Pascua as a public relations account executive. She will be responsible for the day-to-day strategic implementation of PR and media relations programs for M&B clients, including Lucent Tech-nology’s Specialty Fiber Group, Baumer Electric and Boston Gear. Pascua previously worked as a media relations specialist for National Instruments in Austin, Texas.


Douglas Birgfeld was named director of Web development and e-commerce at Garrand & Company, Portland. The agency also hired Beth Becker as media administrator/traffic coordinator.

Sterling Hager, Watertown, hired Rhonda Andrews, Jaime Baldante, Marina Carter, Danyl Collings, Yasmeen Coning, Kristen Harrington, and Chrissy Stengel as account coordinators. The agency also added James Gilmore as an account executive and Debby Oldham as an account manager.

Arnold Communications, Boston, hired Bryan Sweeney as senior executive producer for The Hartford and Acushnet accounts. Sweeney formerly worked for DDB Chicago, where he was an executive producer on the Bud Light account. The agency also promoted John Miller from vice president, production manager to vice president, executive production manager, and Carol Alda from junior art buyer to art buyer.

Trinity Communications, Boston, hired Jerome Giudicelli as a technical developer from Digitas, where he programmed Web sites and implemented technology solutions. The agency also hired former Trinity interns Jessica Elliot and Victoria Wilkins as account executives in the client service department, and named Matt Nelson, Erol Ozlevi and Pete Tschudy interactive designers in the creative department.

CGN Marketing & Creative Services, Boston, hired Alison Riley and Jennifer Richard as account supervisors. Riley previously worked as an account supervisor on the Sonesta International Hotels and the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority accounts at Irma S. Mann Strategic Marketing. Richard previously worked as an account supervisor at Wallwork Curry Sandler, where she was responsible for accounts including Liberty Funds, Domain, Futurity, and White Mountain Shoes.

AltaRex Corp., Waltham, appointed Sondra Henrichon director, investor relations and corporate communications. She previously was employed at Warren Morris & Madison as an executive recruiter serving the telecommunications and broadband technology industries.

BBK Communications, Newton, hired John Dent as Web development supervisor. Dent will serve as project manager and editor for all client-related Web projects and will direct the development of site architecture for each project. In addition, he will be responsible for integrating BBK’s call center and site relations functions. He comes to BBK with operational experience from Sallie Mae, Boston Scientific and Honeywell.

Lowe Grob Health & Science, Cambridge, appointed Constance Adolph director and vice president of public and professional relations, Rachael Kriteman and Amanda Sina account executives and Christiane Weinberger assistant account executive. Adolph was previously vice president of media at KPR Stratis in New York, Kriteman was special projects communication consultant for Milson & Louis; Sina was previously with Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, Health & Medical Group in New York; and Weinberger was with the Health and Sciences department of Makovsky & Co. in New York.

Sharon Merrill Associates, Boston, promoted Paul Sagan from senior account executive to vice president and Jason Fredette from account specialist to account executive.

Donovan Group, Northborough, hired Karen Geffen as manager of human resources and Elaine Densen as traffic supervisor. Previously, Geffen was human resources coordinator for Inc. magazine in Boston, while Densen was a production manager at Gamewright.

Miller/Shandwick Technologies in Boston hired Lars Carlson as senior counsel for technology public affairs. Carlsen was previously director of communications for the Massachusetts Office of Business Development in the administration of Gov. Paul Cellucci and also served as deputy director of communications for the Executive Office of Health and Human Services in the Massachusetts administration of former Gov. William Weld.

Mason & Madison Public Relations, Boston, has promoted Kristin Bromley to assistant account executive and hired David Samberg as an account executive. Both work on accounts including Verizon Wireless and Boston Communications Group.

Weber Group, Cambridge, hired former AEW Capital Management portfolio accountant Monica Langone as a senior accountant, former Collaborative Communications account coordinator Colleen Flynn as an assistant account executive; and Melissa Syphrett and Emily Laderman as account coordinators.

Greenberg Seronick O’Leary & Partners, Boston, added Tina Nguyen and Christice Carter as staff accountants.

Donovan Group, Northborough, hired studio manager Mario Proia, art director Joshua Blasingame, and Mac artists Michael Chamberas and Don Veitch. Prioa was formerly a studio manager at Cipriani Kremer Design, Blasingame was an art director at Arnold Communications, Chamberas provided freelance services to the Donovan Group, and Veitch was a senior designer at Harry B. Harding & Son.


Barradas Yeaton & Wold, Portsmouth, hired Nora Weeks as production manager and Susan Weber as accountant. Weeks, who was previously a production manager at laboratory products company Sybron, will oversee print and collateral production for all of the agency’s clients, while Weber will supervise day-to-day accounting functions, including administration of the New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism’s advertising budget.

Trainor Advertising, East Providence, named James O’Connor senior vice president. He will oversee all account services at the agency and handle the newly acquired Academic Management Services account. O’Connor spent the past eight years as a senior member of the corporate communications department at Blue Cross.

Duffy & Shanley, Providence, hired Kristine Hinck as a senior account executive, Sara Carver as a public relations account coordinator and Chadwick Shao as an interactive designer.
