Moroch’s Showbiz Grows With Grube

DALLAS Moroch Entertainment, a division of Moroch Partners, is expanding its roster of movie studio clients with the acquisition of Oklahoma City-based George Grube Advertising, the agency said today. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

The acquisition will expand the geographical reach of Moroch’s advertising, publicity and promotional services for film studios, the Dallas-based agency said.

Moroch Partners now houses Moroch Entertainment divisions in six of its 28 U.S. offices including Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., New Orleans and now Oklahoma City, the agency said. The offices service 120 markets across the Southwestern and Southeastern United States.

The Grube Advertising deal adds Universal Pictures, DreamWorks SKG, Sony Pictures Classics, Picturehouse and Paramount Classics to Moroch Entertainment’s client list, the shop said. Existing clients include Buena Vista Pictures Marketing (Disney), Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox, Sony Pictures Entertainment, New Line Cinema, Fox Searchlight, Miramax, Screen Gems, Focus Features, Lions Gate Films and IFC, among others.

Founded in 1968 in Oklahoma City, George Grube Advertising Inc. specialized in motion picture advertising, marketing and theatrical booking. An additional office was opened in 1991 in Dallas, expanding services to more than 70 U.S. markets.

“Cherri and George Grube have been friends in and out of the business for almost 20 years,” said Moroch founder Tom Moroch.

Founded in 1981, Moroch is a full-service advertising agency with 28 branch offices.
