Modem Media Income Improves, Revenue Dips

BOSTON Modem Media Thursday posted first-quarter net income of $600,000, compared with a loss of $1.8 million for the same period a year ago.

Revenue for the Norwalk, Conn., interactive shop fell slightly to $14.5 million, down $500,000 from the first quarter of 2002. Earnings per share for Q1 2003 were 2 cents per share, compared with a loss of 7 cents per share in the like period a year ago.

Marc Particelli, president and CEO of Modem Media, said the numbers were “about as we anticipated.”
