Mcgarrybowen Names Kraft Account Chief

NEW YORK Mcgarrybowen here has tapped BBDO senior account director Julie Levin to manage its Kraft Foods account.

Levin, 35, takes the title of account managing director. The independent shop’s Kraft business comprises Miracle Whip and the client’s namesake mayonnaise, salad dressings and barbecue sauce—brands that collectively spent nearly $45 million in major measured media last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

At Omnicom Group’s BBDO, Levin worked on Venus, which is part of Procter & Gamble’s Gillette portfolio. She joined the New York shop in February 2006 and left last month.

Earlier in her career, Levin held account posts at independent Laird + Partners and Interpublic Group’s Deutsch, working on brands such as the Gap, Bottega Venetta and Revlon.

“Her experience and leadership in handling big accounts and delivering strong results will help to further grow our client’s business,” said John
McGarry, mcgarrybowen’s CEO. At her new shop, Levin will report to McGarry.
