McDonald’s Commits to Menu, Site Expansion

OAK BROOK, ILL. – McDonald’s Corp. execs told shareholders Friday they will continue to test new menu items to push dinner traffic. Among them are McStuffins – french bread with a variety of fillings – and fried chicken, to be tested in Norfolk, Va., this summer. A McDonald’s opened last week in a Jewel supermarket near Chicago, and more such sites are planned. But the in-store TV joint venture with Turner Broadcasting is ‘on a back burner and moving slowly,’ execs said.
