LOS ANGELES Ford’s Mazda North America is reorganizing its marketing division following the departure of one of its key marketing executives, the automaker said.

Robert Davis has been named senior vice president of marketing and product development, a new position. He replaces vice president of marketing Kristen Simmons, who resigned to become SVP of consumer marketing for Gateway [Adweek Online, June 11].

Davis, a 13-year Mazda veteran, assumes leadership of the marketing division in addition to his responsibilities for the production development and strategy division.
