ATLANTA A second request for solicitation from the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development has been cancelled, according to the state.

Debi Chronister, manager of contracts and procurement for Maryland, issued the cancellation in a letter to participating agencies dated May 21.

Incumbent Trahan, Burden & Charles in Baltimore had successfully defended the estimated $8 million account in March, subject to approval from the board of public works. The governor pulled that contract from the state’s agenda and the second request was issued, said Sandy Hillman, TB&C’s vice chairman and chief executive officer.
