All we are saying: The Hopes and Fears of Post-2000 Years
What do we want? World peace. When do we want it? In the next millennium. At least, that’s what 38 percent of respondents to an ABC News poll said they want when asked to name their “greatest hope for the next millennium–the thing you’d most like to see humankind achieve.” (The results were summarized on the Polling Report Web site.) Does this mean people fret about the prospect of war? Not really.
