Microsoft Corp. and Macromedia have formed a strategic alliance, whereby San Francisco-based Macromedia’s Flash technology will be available via Windows CE operating system-based devices. The agreement will allow for faster delivery and reduced costs in developing and deploying content and ads using Flash on Windows CE-based handhelds.

Separately, Macromedia has signed licensing agreements with handheld manufacturers including Casio, Samsung, Siemens and Thomson TAK. Macromedia’s Flash Player technology will be bundled into devices developed by the manufacturers.
