Lynk, Tap Trone

Trone Advertising has added a pair of new technology accounts in Lynk Systems and
Atlanta-based Lynk Systems, a financial transactions operation which services retailers and banks, hired the Greensboro, N.C., shop as agency of record after a three-month review that included six undisclosed contenders. Trone will be responsible for brand-building and integrated communications assignments.
“Trone demonstrated a full understanding of business-to-business concepts and technology,” said Norma Wayco, Lynk Systems’ vice president of marketing. “Because they provide fully integrated
services, they’re a good match with the way we do business with our customers.”
“Lynk and Trone are an excellent combination,” said chairman Lee Trone. “We share a similar business philosophy when it comes to providing totally integrated service to our customers.”, an Internet-based community news venue based in North Adams, Mass., hired Trone to produce advertising to introduce the service in new markets. Launched last year, the Web site delivers local news and advertising in 55 markets.
A campaign, currently airing in four test markets, is scheduled to roll out nationally later this year.
Combined billings for the two accounts amount to $3 million. K
