David Lubars cited two reasons for his decision last week to accept the job as creative director at Fallon McElligott.
“First, it’s Fallon; that’s a special opportunity,” he said. “I’m also ready to go to [an agency’s] headquarters. I feel that I’ve done all I can do at a branch office.”
Lubars, chief executive officer and chief creative officer of BBDO West in Los Angeles, succeeds Bill Westbrook in the Minneapolis shop’s top creative post. Westbrook, who said a year ago that he intended to take a less active role, will remain president of the $486 million agency [Adweek, Aug.
