Lopez Negrete Lures Media Chief From Cartel

DALLASLopez Negrete Communications has hired Jim Irvine, formerly of the Cartel Group, as senior director of media strategies.

Based in Houston, Lopez Negrete is an independent, full-service Hispanic marketing agency with billings of more than $82 million.

Before joining Lopez Negrete, Irvine was chief media strategist at Cartel in San Antonio, working with clients that included the U.S. Army, JC Penney, Capital One and Chili’s. He also has worked at Ornelas & Associates and Siboney USA, both in Dallas, Bromley Communications of San Antonio and The Solis Group in Denver.

“Jim has always been on the cutting edge of Hispanic segmentation and has a successful track record of marrying these insights to audience measurement tools and data in the creation of actionable, strategically sound and effective media plans,” said Alex Lopez Negrete, president of Lopez Negrete.
