Joe Lonsdorf, a principal at mid-1990s’ Southeast powerhouse Tausche Martin Lonsdorf, died last week of a brain tumor in his native Wisconsin. He was 63.

Lonsdorf began his advertising career at Tatham Laird Kudner in Chicago, but made his mark after moving to Atlanta in 1975.

First an executive vice president at McDonald & Little, it was as president of TML (now Fletcher Martin Ewing) that he reached the pinnacle of his career. Teamed with creative director Kurt Tausche, TML served national clients like Honda and regularly won awards.

“He was a partner at one of the best agencies in the history of Atlanta,” said Michael Palma of Creative Search in Atlanta.
