FRANKFURT – The postal service of the Federal German Post Office has started a commercial campaign worth $60 million in order to introduce 26,400 new postal code numbers to 70 million consumers and companies in July this year. Prominent German-speaking film directors including Wolfgang Petersen, Doris Doerrie, Loriot, Carl Schenkel, Michael Verhoeven, Helmut Dietl and Hark Bohm were asked to produce 30- or 45-second commercials. Their only requirement: Integrate the five huge zip code figures in each of their commercials.
