Leo Burnett Intros ‘Choices’ From Allstate

CHICAGO Allstate has launched a product dubbed Your Choice Auto Insurance with advertising from its lead agency, Publicis Groupe’s Leo Burnett here.

Television ads, which broke last night, feature the Elvis Presley song, “I Can’t Stop Loving You.” The spots ask the question, “Can you love your car insurance as much as you love your car?”

Allstate spent $110 million promoting its auto insurance last year, per Neilsen Monitor-Plus.

The Your Choice product gives consumers a choice of three optional packages, in addition to the standard Allstate policy. Each package boasts different features such as accident forgiveness (which keeps rates from going up after a crash) and new car replacement (which will replace a totaled vehicle rather than just pay out the car’s book value in cash).

“This is more than just an enhancement to our standard auto product,” said Thomas Wilson, president and chief operating officer of the Northbrook, Ill., company, in a statement. “Allstate Your Choice Auto Insurance represents the innovation and leadership stance that Allstate is taking in order to help consumers feel better protected and prepared.”

In addition to last night’s airing, TV spots will play during the season finale of 24 and American Idol on Fox, as well as during motor sports programming. Print executions will run in publications such as USA Today, The New York Times and Chicago Tribune.
