CHICAGO–The Leap Group attained global reach in one step last week with the purchase of YAR Communications in New York for $20 million.
YAR is a full-service agency that creates and adapts ads for a multitude of ethnicities in the U.S. and abroad. The agency’s billings for last year reportedly totaled nearly $200 million; revenues were $18.5 million.
Leap officials said YAR’s technical abilities, as well as its presence beyond U.S. borders, made it an attractive purchase.
