MILWAUKEE – Laughlin/Constable last week laid off 10% of its staff saying the move was a ‘restructuring for business reasons to remain competitive in the marketplace.’ Although the agency didn’t release numbers, insiders say about 13 of its 106-person staff were laid off last week. Also, seven open positions will remain unfilled sources said. Budget cutbacks from major clients, such as Miller Brewing Co., along with the loss of the Leinenkugel business, may have contributed to the layoffs.
