NEW YORK Bob Kuperman is retiring from his position as New York president and chief executive officer of DDB, effective immediately, an agency representative said today.

Kuperman, 63, will continue to consult for DDB, reporting to worldwide CEO Ken Kaess.

He came to the shop in 2001 as president and CEO. Before that, he had been at TBWA\Chiat\Day since 1987, where he worked in the New York and Los Angeles offices under several titles. He was president, CEO of the Americas for TBWA Worldwide when he left, overseeing presidents of different offices.
