NEW YORK JWT worldwide president Michael Maedel is relocating from the agency’s London office to Singapore, effective next month, the WPP Group shop said.
In a related move, Toby Hoare, executive chairman for JWT U.K., will add oversight of all European operations, effective Jan. 1. Maedel previously oversaw that region.
Maedel’s move is designed to capitalize on growth opportunities in the Asian market, according to JWT. In addition to client development, he will explore potential acquisitions.
“It is our fastest growing region by far,” Maedel said, in a statement.
