JWT Adds More Nestle

BOSTON WPP Group’s JWT has added to its Nestle cache, picking up assignments in the U.K., Romania and the Czech Republic, the agency said.

All told, the Nestle work coming into JWT from these three markets represents estimated ad spending in excess of $25 million.

JWT in London added creative duties for Nestle’s Heaven, Joe and Orion brands following a review over Interpublic Group’s Lowe in London. Nestle had introduced the high-end Heaven brand in the U.K. earlier this year. JWT’s Australian operations had created launch ads, and WPP’s MindShare handled media. (Media was not part of the review, and those chores remain at WPP’s MindShare.)

Nestle has also expanded its relationship with JWT in Romania, which already handled Kit Kat and Lion, handing over its remaining confectionary business to the shop. And JWT in Prague added Orion in that market and starting in January will handle the company’s ice cream business, focusing on the Movenpick brand.

In a staff memo, JWT worldwide president Michael Maedel said, “These wins demonstrate our great strategic and creative strength worldwide as well as our ability to deliver the skills and intelligence that lead to positive results for our clients.”
