Johnson Calls It Quits at TBWA Worldwide

NEW YORK Carl Johnson, the TBWA Worldwide chief operating officer who took a one-year hiatus in Sydney, Australia, is leaving the network, the agency confirmed.

Johnson, whose COO duties were redistributed among other top executives, is said to be mulling at least one other job opportunity in New York. An agency representative said the COO post will not be filled.

He could not immediately be reached but said in a statement, “I have enjoyed being part of TBWA; it is one of the best networks I have had the opportunity to work with.
