It’s Hammer Time in Nation’s Capital

ATLANTA The Brand Consultancy has spun off a new advertising and marketing operation called Hammer Communications.

According to president Jack Shoptaw, the Washington, D.C., shop’s focus is buyer motivation and the development of client loyalty. “Several clients have remained with the company for well over a decade,” Shoptaw said. The Brand Consultancy, which specializes in corporate image projects, has worked with clients such as Gillette, Panasonic, Timex and Toyota.

A 10-year veteran of the Washington real estate industry, Shoptaw joined the 20-year-old Brand Consultancy team four years ago. He and vice president and creative director Curtis Nelson lead the spin-off. “We draw upon many traditional elements of the advertising industry,” Shoptaw said. “But our goal is to be quicker and more adaptable, with more powerful creative and client services.”
