It’s All Fun and Games to Romani Bros.

CHICAGO Romani Bros. has won an assignment to help introduce leisure products retailer Rec Room Furniture and Games after a review.

The Chicago independent will help with local store openings for the Algonquin, Ill., based company, before assisting with a planned national rollout. The company will open a new store in Downer’s Grove, Ill., in June, followed by another in Deerfield, Ill., in the fall.

“The first time we walked into the store, we wanted to work on this account,” said Romani Bros. partner Bernie Pitzel in a statement. “The store is like Tiffany’s for guys. We didn’t want to leave.”

The Algonquin, Ill., company specializes in selling products for rec rooms, from billiard and card tables to theater seating. A campaign, targeted at married men “with space and ego,” is expected to break this October, Pitzel said.

Contenders and billings for the account were not disclosed. Jones Lundin Beals in Chicago conducted the review.
