NEW YORK Interpublic Group has expanded its board of directors to 10 with the addition of Jocelyn Carter-Miller, president of TechEdventures.

Carter-Miller, 50, becomes the ninth non-management or outside director on the board. The only insider is IPG CEO Michael Roth.

Frank Borelli also is an outsider but is not considered independent like other outsiders because his son works for Deloitte & Touche, IPG’s internal auditor. The son, however, does not work on IPG’s account.

Carter-Miller has been president of TechEdventures, an organization that develops and manages charter schools and community-based programs, since 2005.
