Turkel Schwartz Retains Miami Tourism

ATLANTA—Nine-year incumbent Turkel Schwartz & Partners has defended its Miami Convention and Visitors’ Bureau account. In its presentation, the Miami shop positioned the city as a fashion brand. “The edginess of Miami lends itself to the same kinds of ads as Prada, Gucci and Dior,” said an agency representative. TS&P paired with New York model agency Ing to create stylized images of South Beach settings. Other agencies that contended for the $4 million business included DraftWorldwide’s The Sloan Group, New York, partnering with Studio K in Miami; WPP’s Young & Rubicam, also in Miami; Cramer-Krasselt in Orlando, Fla.;
