A Toyota Pairs Oasis, Saatchi for Campaign
LOS ANGELES–Toyota Motor Sales USA has tapped lead agency Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles along with Oasis Advertising to handle the launch of an advertising campaign for its Prius hybrid gas/electric vehicle. The model will go on sale in the middle of this year. Oasis, New York, which has teamed with Toyota on corporate image work since 1993, recently developed a corporate print campaign for the Torrance, Calif.-based automaker highlighting the Prius. It was unclear how duties for this new project would be divided. Saatchi remains Toyota’s lead agency.

LOS ANGELES–JSM+ Communications has launched an estimated $3-4 million print and outdoor campaign for Internet service provider Epoch Internet. The Santa Monica, Calif., agency recently won the account of the Costa Mesa, Calif., client.
A Tonic 360 Taps Powell as Media Director
SAN FRANCISCO–Doug Powell, 40, has joined Tonic 360 as media director, a new position. He joins the San Francisco agency from crosstown agency FCB Worldwide, where he served as a senior vice president/media director. Powell, an industry veteran of more than 17 years, began his advertising career at FCB in Chicago.

AAR/Bob Wolf & Partners, Los Angeles and New York, is the consultant. DDB, New York, is defending the business.

Billings are an estimated $15-20 million. …, an Internet service that helps connect workers with corporate employers, has named Duncan/Channon, San Rafael, Calif., as its agency of record. Billings are estimated at $10 million. Print ads will break in March, followed by online and radio. … Matthews/Mark will develop a $5 million national brand identity campaign for, which provides first-time mortgages, refinancing and auto and vacation loans. The San Diego agency recently picked up the Santa Ana, Calif., client
