Hitachi Chooses Connecticut Agency For Medical Effort

Marquardt & Roche/Meditz & Hackett has been tapped by Hitachi Medical Corp. to handle creative duties for a line of ultrasound equipment.
The shop’s work for Fuji Medical Systems was a key factor in the client’s decision, said agency president Howard Meditz. There was no review, and Meditz declined to disclose billings. Media buying and planning is handled by Hitachi’s in-house division in Tarrytown, N.Y.
The Stamford, Conn., agency’s first work for the client is a print campaign breaking next month in medical trade publications. Three ads promoting the EUB-525 ultrasound machine show an animal adapting to its environment. The executions are intended to highlight the machine’s ability to be upgraded by adding different components. The tagline: “An ultra sound investment.” –Sarah Jones
