Stocks got a shot in the arm last week as the Labor Department showed the economy added more jobs than expected last month. The Friday report boosted the Dow higher, which closed up nearly 1 percent at 12,307.25. The Nasdaq remained relatively flat, gaining only 0.7 percent to close at 2,437.36. Ad stocks were mostly higher. Omnicom gained 0.3 percent, closing at 103.94. WPP Group closed at 67.16, up nearly 3 percent. Publicis Groupe gained 0.6 percent to finish the week at 38.75. Only Interpublic Group declined, dropping 3 percent to close at 11.60.
