GroupM Scores $200 Mil. Amway TV in China

WPP’s GroupM China has been awarded Amway’s TV buying business worth more than $200 million. The work was previously managed by Omnicom’s OMD.

GroupM Trading in Guangzhou, China, is tasked with managing Amway’s TV buying for all products including Artistry and Nutrilite, as well corporate branding, throughout the region.

Amway’s Artistry line includes skin-care, cosmetics and anti-aging creams, while Nutrilite is Amway’s largest-selling brand of health supplements.

“We are very pleased that we were able to demonstrate our superior media trading expertise with this win,” said Bessie Lee, CEO of GroupM China.

OMD China will continue to manage overall media buying and planning for Amway, except its TV business.

OMD in Guangzhou will retain the media planning for OOH, print and radio.
