That’s good enough to make him one of the top returning players for the Indians—and apparently gives him license to refuse to wear shoes made by Adidas, which has a contract with the team. Nichols says he suffered an injury in Adidas shoes and wants to wear Nikes. He skipped practice most of last week after the school’s athletic director said he had to wear Adidas.
