ATLANTA Georgia-Pacific will not renew its sponsorship of the No. 45 car driven by Kyle Petty in the Nextel Cup Series of Nascar, the company said.

The Atlanta-based company’s deal with Petty Enterprises, which is led by Nascar legend Richard Petty, Kyle’s father, expires at the end of this season. GP has sponsored the car for the past three years.

“I’m currently looking at options and in negotiations,” said Sheila Weidman, vice president of corporate communications and marketing for GP.
