Five Shops Prepare Rio Bravo Cantina Final Pitches ATLANTA–Rio Bravo Cantina will hear presentations next week from three Midwest and two Southeast agencies vying for the chain’s $3-5 million advertising account.

Client marketing director Cari Pirello confirmed the five finalists: Bernstein-Rein and Barkley & Evergreen, both in Kansas City, Mo.; Wyse Advertising, Cleveland (agency for Rio Bravo’s parent, Applebee’s International); Austin Kelley Advertising, Atlanta; and Henderson Advertising, Greenville, S.C.
For presentations, the agencies are expected to expand one of several speculative radio campaigns to include print and local store marketing, according to the client’s request for proposals.
A decision from the Overland Park, Kan.-based client is expected by August.–Katy Eckmann
