Euro RSCG Taps New-Business Exec

NEW YORK Jonathan Goldmacher has joined Havas’ Euro RSCG in the new position of international new business director, the agency said.

Goldmacher, 36, will be based in New York. He was recently svp, group account director at Havas’ Arnold here and Boston. He helped oversee accounts such as Ocean Spray, Gillette and Goodyear.

At Euro RSCG, he will assist the agency’s global executive director, Avi Dan, who joined the shop in November. Dan said Goldmacher was not the only candidate he interviewed for the position.

They worked together at Publicis Groupe’s Saatchi & Saatchi in New York in the late 1990s when Dan directed new business and Goldmacher worked on General Mills and Procter & Gamble.

“He’s smart, dedicated and has a very good analytical mind,” Dan said. “He’ll be coordinating new business activity for 233 offices in 75 countries, developing tools and improving best practices for the network.”

In a statement, Goldmacher said, “I’m excited to enter into a corporate role where I can use the skills I learned in account management and work with agency executives from around the world to build business on a global scale through strategic new client acquisition.”

Euro RSCG’s largest clients include Air France, Airbus, Danone Group, Reckitt Benckiser, Volvo, Jaguar, Charles Schwab and Evian.
