Dunkin’ Donuts Names Phillip Risinger as Director of Advertising

BOSTON — Allied Domecq’s Dunkin’ Donuts today named Phillip Risinger director of advertising. Risinger reports to Ken Kimmel, vp, Dunkin’ Donuts Concepts.

He will oversee all aspects of the Randolph, Mass.-based company’s advertising and work closely with its lead agency, Interpublic Group’s Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Boston. The agency in September launches a new campaign for the client with tagline, “Just the thing.” The company spent $35 million on ads in 2001 and $22 million through August of this year, per CMR.

Risinger fills a position that had been vacant for six months at the restaurant chain since the former ad manager, Maura Reardon, left the company. Risinger previously was manager of advertising and corporate marketing at General Motors. He has also served as a national ad manager for GM’s Buick division and spent seven years in client service at New York shop Young & Rubicam.
