Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is seeking an agency of record for its advertising account, previously doled out on a project basis.

Airport representative Joe Lopano, who is assisting in the agency selection process, said a request for proposal was due back from an unspecified number of area shops last week.

Three or four finalists will be culled from the respondents and asked to make presentations.

Billings for the account are undisclosed, but spending in previous years has not exceeded $1 million, Lopano said.

The winning agency will likely focus its efforts on print and direct marketing initiatives.
