NEW YORK — DDB Chicago has won the $100 million Qwest review, beating out the other finalist, Foote, Cone & Belding, sources said.

The review began in February as the client sought to consolidate its business at one shop to save money. Initial contenders included Leo Burnett’s LB Works in Chicago, McCann-Erickson and J.Walter Thompson, both New York.

DDB Chicago and JWT New York were the incumbents for the Denver, Colo. client, but the latter agency, which handled handling Qwest’s corporate image and B2B accounts, withdrew from the process in mid-March.
