DDB Appoints Hempel Managing Director

NEW YORK Peter Hempel has joined DDB’s office here as executive vice president, managing director, the Omnicom Group agency said on Wednesday.

In this new position, Hempel will be responsible for the agency’s account management group, and he will oversee the Philips account in North America. Hempel will also assist with new business.

Prior to joining DDB, Hempel was evp, global marketing at The Gap. In this role, he was responsible for the marketing, planning and deployment of the global Gap brand.
